About Us:

The Victorian Ladies Society was established in 2000 to bring together ladies who share a love for Victoriana and to make new friendships. We are a Victorian themed online ladies group and any lady is welcome to join. Our group is not a mailing list. Some of our group activities include monthly swaps, secret sister programs and more.

Membership Guidelines:

You must be an ACTIVE member and join at least one committee. (Please see the Committee descriptions link to the left.) You will receive an email if you are inactive for an extended period of time without any given reason for your leave of absence (LOA). We do understand that there is life outside the internet and that should always be a first priority and things do come up. Joining the Victorian Ladies Society then disappearing or not taking part in group activities is not fair to the ladies who do participate. We are a close knit group of ladies, concerned with each member's well being. Every single member helps to make this group grow and work.

Each member will be included on the main email group llist. This is to keep everyone informed of group happenings. The group list is kept by the group Founder.

It is each member's responsibility to keep their information current with the group. This includes your website information and your email. If your email starts bouncing and we cannot get in touch with you, you will be removed from the group. If your website changes and causes a dead link on the members page, your site will be removed from the members listings

Each lady will be treated with respect at all times. Nastiness and rudeness will not be tolerated at any time. Conflicts between members will not go on in this group and if you hurt another lady in any way you will be banned from the group. We are here to make friendships and not to judge other people.

All member websites that are listed on the member page of the VLS will be FAMILY FRIENDLY with no objectionable material, pornographic material or racist material. We do not tolerate or agree with any site of this nature and it will not be listed on our pages.
